3 Ways to Live a More Inspired Life
What is your destiny and who controls it? What if you knew that you were more powerful than fate? What would you do? Who would you be? How much money would you make?
Despite any limiting beliefs you may have, you are not just a product of your environment or your circumstances. You are who and where you are today because of the choices you’ve made. Every choice you have made, and action you have taken (or haven’t taken) has led you to the right here and now. If you want to live a more inspired life, all you have to do is change your beliefs, your daily habits, and define a clear vision of purpose for your future because you can have the power to choose your destiny!
1.Challenge/Change Your Beliefs- What are some empowering beliefs that you have about life on a daily or weekly basis? What are some limiting beliefs? Write down all of the positive and negative beliefs and circle the two most powerful of each. Look at the two limiting beliefs. What if they weren’t true? What if they are lies that you have been telling yourself? Try flipping them around for example: I’m too old to start a new career to I still have so much life to live and I want to live it doing something that I absolutely love! How does this new belief feel?
2. Create Good Habits- What are some bad habits that you indulge in regularly? Smoking, drinking, gambling, overeating, it can be anything that you know doesn’t benefit you or those around you. What fulfillment do you get from these activities? Does it make you feel significant? Do you feel connected to others when you are smoking and drinking with them? Do you feel comfort when you eat? Does your bad behavior add variety and excitement into your life? What are some different activities that you can participate in that would give you that same feeling you desire? Maybe it’s a creative project you’ve wanted to do or a class you want to take. Extreme sports perhaps, or meditation? Try incorporating these new more positive actions into your life while weeding out the old destructive habits. Try it for a month and see how much more you can accomplish. You might be amazed!
3. Find Meaning and Purpose in Your Life- Anything that is not growing is dying. How are you growing spiritually, emotionally, and or intellectually? What is it that you really want? How can you contribute to society/others? No one can ever find true happiness in life without a feeling of purpose. Figure out what it is you really want, set goals, and begin to take action. Become committed and determined and never let failure stand in the way of your ultimate success. You can achieve anything you want if you want it badly enough.
Life is constant change and growth. Every negative emotion that you feel can be transformed into something positive: depression to bliss, anger to peace, and resentment to love. So now that you’ve taken responsibility for your life what will you do? How will you feel? Who will you choose to become?
